Posted in details, the fast - 2009 by amysahba on March 1, 2009

all over the world, Bahá’ís are praying and getting ready for the start of this year’s period of fasting.

we (amy and leila) will be sharing our Fast with you again this year, just like we did last year.

additionally, we have invited talented photographers from all over the world to join us in sharing his/her fasting experience and photographs with all of us.

each day, we will post photos from amy, one guest and leila.

amy’s photos will be on the left.

our daily guest’s photos will be in the center.

leila’s photos will be on the right.

you can read all about our guest photographers here.

come back tomorrow for our first set, and please – feel free to join our project by leaving comments and telling us all about your Fast.

love,

amy, leila and all the nineteen days guests.

Thank you Amy and Leila! I look forward to this every day. It helps me get through my Fast. I try my best to make it a special time, have a special dinner (not in front of the TV!), listen to spiritual music, contemplate a little more…. Thanks so much for brightening they days of the Fast!

    Dear Amy,
How wonderful, I can tell you that here in Australia we have already started our Fast! It’s 12:30pm now (i.e. lunch time) so it’s time to try and focus on something else rather than food. A wonderful discipline to practice for 19 days. Ha ha.
