nineteen days

day nine

Posted in the fast - 2012 by leila on March 10, 2012

“Lauded be Thy name, O my God! This is the hour when Thou hast unlocked the doors of Thy bounty before the faces of Thy creatures, and opened wide the portals of Thy tender mercy unto all the dwellers of Thine earth.”

“A lover feareth nothing and no harm can come nigh him: Thou seest him chill in the fire and dry in the sea.”

leili egea/left (haifa, israel):  As I reflect on the past year and make adjustments for the next, I can’t help but feel an immense sense of awe for the beauty of my surroundings, of gratitude for being able to partake of them, and of supplication that this fast and all deeds performed since the last one may be acceptable to God.

faham foroodi/right (quito, ecuador): Fast is one expression of true love. Every single minute is an effort of being detached of everything that is surrounding us, and that effort is love to our beloved Cause. Waking up at an unusual time and looking  out the window made me realized  how His wonderful creation is encouraging us to keep going with our duty as Baha’is. Reading the writings is crucial to strengthen our love to the Blessed  Beauty and appreciate every single detail that shows up in our lives.

Divine dawn shots, which contrast against one another really nicely.

Thank you for these quotes-they are perfect. Your photos are full of mystery-am loving the orange and blue. That blue light hypnotizes and makes one feel that it is surely possible to soar outside and see more of the view.
